Sir Gwynfor's Lament

Men were not always adept at magic. Some say that Gog, Son of the Winter Moon, gifted it to them when he fled Gwlad - a parting shot at his hated brother Magog. Others say that men had magic much earlier than that. Few men, true, and most were born with the sense to keep their talents hidden and only use them for good.

 

 

 


 

Gwlad, the world of Sir Benfro and Errol Ramsbottom, has a long history of magic. In ancient times, it is said, Great Rasalene, the first and most powerful of dragons, created men to serve him and his kin. Created from magic, they were not themselves magical creatures. How then did they come by the destructive powers they have today?
