The Tie

What is it about Reps that makes them wear such florid neckware? Is it a vain attempt to liven up their otherwise meaningless lives? A short sad cry of rage against the uniform greyness that is all they have become?

 


 

The second in the very short run of tales from the bar, The Tie is a simple tale of everyday alcohol and substance abuse. They closed down the Bobbin Mill shortly after I wrote this. It reopened a few months later as the King Street Mill or KSM to the hip and trendy students who fill the lounge bar to this day. It's not the same. You can never go back
